Low-E Insulation is a patented Reflective Foil Insulation with an air infiltration and vapour barrier. It has been manufactured for over 16 years and is sold in over 25 countries around the world, as well as all 50 US States, making Low-E the longest manufactured Reflective Foil Insulation on sale in the UK. To date, we have produced and installed over 500 million sq ft world wide.

With its recycled, non toxic closed cell foam core, Low-E Insulation offers a safer, cleaner, fibre-free, non-asthmatic and non-itchy thermal insulation medium. Ideal for health sensitive applications and in schools, hospitals, factories, office buildings and homes where high thermal performance and lower lifecycle running costs are an important part of the design brief.

Low-E has been Re-tested in the UK, to comply with BR443 Part L of Building Regs for Foil Insulation.
From January 1st 2007 all foil insulations sold in the UK have to comply with BR443.

We have also had numerous Fire Tests carried out and have a Class A/ Class 1 Fire Rating (BS 476, ASTM E84).
All of our testing has been carried out by ILAC Accredited Labs (International Laboratories Accreditation Cooperation).  UKAS are the British representative for ILAC

  • Low-E will help you meet lower U-value requirements in smaller spaces. It is extremely quick and easy to install with minimum waste. It will also assist your building in meeting New European air-tightness Tests.
  • Low-E can be installed along with a secondary insulation to provide you with the standard you require, with minimum waste. Saving you time, space and money.
  • Low-E was tested by the NPL (National Physical Laboratory) in a Guarded Hot Box to comply with the BR443 and was found to have an R-value of 2.08.

Due to its obvious advantages Low-E Insulation is rapidly becoming the preferred choice of top builders around the world.

Benefits of Low-E Insulation

Low-E Insulation has been manufactured, tried and tested in America for over sixteen years where it has proved itself again and again. We have now started to expand into Europe where it has continued to grow, because no matter what climate the problem is always the same- you want to stop the hot from getting to the cold. Whether the heat is outside trying to get in, or the heat is inside and you want to keep it where it is.

  • Low-E is manufactured using a patented heat lamination process, so there are no glues or adhesives used which can fuel fires or break down over time especially when exposed to hot and cold as often as insulation is
  • Resists all three forms of heat transfer very successfully.
  • Low-E is manufactured using 40% recycled polyethylene foam for its core material.
  • With a perm rate of 0.008 it is an excellent vapour barrier
  • Low-E won’t allow moisture to pass down through itself, unlike other reflectives and even if does get wet, it won’t affect the product or performance. So all moisture problems are eliminated.
  • Because of its closed cell make-up, condensation will not form in the core of Low-E Insulation.
